Hope Cottage Ltd

Incorporated in 1995, HCL was contracted with AHS for the purpose of providing 24-hour care to individuals with special needs, and to do so in a home-like, and community integrated way.

HCL is dedicated to improving the quality of life of these individuals and their families by providing an opportunity for care, comfort, and community. Our objective is to support individuals who have been socially excluded or disadvantaged because of their disabilities, through provision of our residential support services.

Our mission at HCL is to recognize the value of every individual, and we are guided by our commitment to excellence and leadership. We demonstrate this by providing exemplary physical, emotional, and psychological care to individuals with special needs.

The following reflects the vision which guides HCL in fulfilling its mission:

• HCL will prioritize the provision of support to individuals related their health care needs. In doing so, HCL will not turn away requests for assistance outside of this primary focus when appropriate.
• HCL endeavors to develop and support creative community-based caregiving programs. HCL is and will continue to be responsive to the challenges of limited resources. HCL will avoid duplication of efforts, striving to be complementary, not competitive, with other similar organizations.
• HCL endeavor to collaborate with other organizations and facilities that support residential care to optimize utilization of resources including municipal, provincial, or federal programing.
