Mission Statement- is to become the leader of family supports for low income and working poor families in Edmonton and the surrounding communities
Vision- to empower those struggling to make ends meet by providing resources needed to meet their clothing and in home needs

Objectives
1-provide a safe non-judge mental environment to those in need of help. To ensure all families and individuals are always treated with respect and dignity.
2-provide at thrift center, a place to facilitate the exchange of items to help those in need within the community.
3-to enrich the lives of those accessing and donating to Hart’s thrift Centre
4-to ensure continued open networking and communication with organization and resources.
5-to provide work/volunteer experience along with social development opportunities within the community, to people struggling to find employment, this would allow them to obtain reference letters from Hearts to help find permanent employment.
6-to support people with a warm meal and offer non-perishable food items to people outside the system to combat hunger
7-to provide education in budgeting and money management along with resume support for all who wish to participate
