Grandparents Society

Grandparent Society's mission is to honor and promote equality in elderly diverse populations by enhancing their quality of life through programs in designated/supportive living and long-term home care settings, particularly those suffering from mental health issues and social issues

Goals & Objectives:

· To obtain a grant and fundraise for our first home.
· To recruit qualified and trained staff/volunteers locally or from around the world.
· To open our first home, consisting of 4-10 residents from the general geriatric public who will reside in a rental home.
· To open our second home, consisting of 4-8 forensic residents (elderly suffering from mental health issues).
· To build our first home in 3 years that would house 4-8 residents
· To expand our lodges throughout Edmonton in 5 years
· To promote awareness of social isolation amongst the elderly as a national issue.
