Get involved! Make a difference to those who are facing barriers to employment. Goodwill Industries of Alberta (Goodwill) is currently seeking Volunteer Board Members. This is a great opportunity to be involved with an organization making great strides in enriching the lives of people with disabilities and barriers within the Alberta community. Our volunteer Board of Directors typically dedicate 5 – 8 hours per month for board and committee meetings, and community events. Directors on the board's executive committee have additional duties, requiring an additional time commitment. Our Mission Statement Through the power of work, Goodwill provides individuals with disabilities or barriers to employment the opportunity to enhance their lives. Goodwill is a not-for-profit organization that supports the Alberta community by providing employment readiness skills training, career services, and job placement for Albertans with disabilities in Calgary, Edmonton and Grande Prairie. Goodwill is also one of the largest employers of people with disabilities in Western Canada. At Goodwill we value respecting each other, acting with integrity, working as one team, providing exceptional customer service, recognizing each other’s contributions and working safely. It is our preference that while individuals may be recognized as subject matter experts, they appreciate the big picture and are committed to advancing the over mission of Goodwill.
