Wednesday evening during the school year

Girl Guides of Canada is taking applications from active, enthusiastic, fun adults to become Unit Guiders with 118th Edmonton Embers in the neighbourhood near West Ed Mall.

No experience necessary, all training provided, many resources available to help with program planning.

Successful applicants will complete the screening and onboarding process immediately and then complete self paced training with a local mentor.

118th Edmonton Embers meet on Wednesday evenings during the school year.

We empower young girls and women to be everything they want to be, and as a volunteer, you will help make that happen! Our volunteers support girls as they build confidence, develop new skills and become leaders in their communities.

As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll be joining an experienced Guider who will help you facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, camping, community service projects, games and more for our Embers (7-8 years old).

You will be able to get the experience working with children and building your resume. There are many online training courses available free of charge to our adult volunteers.
