HOMEWORK CLUB (Online/Remote)

1-5 hours / weekly
-
United for Literacy believes everyone has the right to literacy and education in a positive and safe environment that meets each learner's unique needs.

In our Homework Club Program, you will tutor junior high-aged learners (ages 12-16) and provide academic support, mentorship and help to build the learners’ confidence. You may work one-on-one or in small groups to share learning strategies, work on homework that learners struggle with, and uplift their confidence in what they do.

In addition to this, there will be opportunities to present on topics like test anxiety or managing screentime to the greater group. Therefore, the goals of this role don’t just simply revolve around academic success, but also attend to learners needs and improving on more than just grades.

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic, dedicated people who are looking to help the people in their community. Aiding in schoolwork can be extremely fulfilling and we appreciate anyone who takes interest in our work.
