Motorcycle Escort

Have a touring or sport touring bike and like to ride on the open road with a large group of like minded individuals?  Then this task is for you! 

Motorcycle Escorts will be used to lead and escort riders along the route in and around Strathmore providing direction, keeping riders safe, and calling for aid when necessary. 
•	Leave the Strathmore Stampede Grounds at the beginning of each day following guidelines set forth by the Motorcycle Escort Captain
•	Work in pairs or groups as assigned monitoring specific locations along the route
•	Support riders as necessary in a variety of ways along the route
•	A full day out on course promoting rider safety, helping at intersections, pit stops, and critical directional locations
•	Motorcyclists are required to have a current registration, insurance and license. 
•	The Motorcycle Escort Captain will be in touch with you after registration with further information
•	Favourable bikes: touring and sport touring road bikes 
•	Unfavourable bikes: sport and off-road bikes  
Please note:
•	Safety is paramount for everyone out on the road and it’s necessary for us to provide you with detailed instructions and expectations. 
•	All on course volunteers are required to attend a mandatory safety meeting Friday July 18: 5:00-6:00pm in the Remuda Building at the Strathmore Stampede Grounds (a light supper will be served) or via video call.
•	You'll hear how the entire Course team will monitor the roadways, as well as specifics about your volunteer duty. 
•	More details about the meeting will be provided after registration.
