Course Marshals

33 Wheatland Trail, Strathmore, AB, T1P 1X3 [map]
/ daily
-
Like to be part of the action out on course? Do you want to cheer on 1800-2000 cyclists and provide safe crossings and turns for them at the same time? Then we want you!

Course Marshals are stationed at key intersections and turns along the course to warn riders of hazards and ensure they ride in the right direction.
•	Course Marshals will be sent to designated positions along the 100km route around the Strathmore area which will be determined ahead of time by race staff
•	Each Course Marshal will receive directions to their assigned area at the mandatory course ops meeting, as well as duty instructions
•	Course Marshals are expected to arrive to their location by their own transportation
•	Course Marshals are likely to stay in one place for the duration of their shift
•	You will be supported by the Motorcycle Escort team throughout the day
•	Riders will come through your area in singles, doubles and groups at many different times!
•	It’s anticipated you will not only provide safety and directional support but also use your energy to cheer the riders as they pass through
•	This is a particularly fun volunteer job to do with a buddy. Register separately please, then let the volunteer director know you want to be together.
Please note:
•	Safety is paramount for everyone out on the road and it’s necessary for us to provide you with detailed instructions and expectations.
•	All on course volunteers are required to attend a mandatory safety meeting Friday July 18: 5:00-6:00pm in the Remuda Building at the Strathmore Stampede Grounds (a light supper will be served) or via video call.
•	You'll hear how the entire Course team will monitor the roadways, as well as specifics about your volunteer duty.
•	More details about the meeting will be provided after registration.

Please check the Enbridge Tour Alberta for Cancer website under the 'VOLUNTEER' tab for details, descriptions, and shift times.
