The Eating Disorder Support Network of Alberta (EDSNA) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate support, education, and connection for individuals and families impacted by eating disorders. EDSNA focuses on system-level support and outreach.

     - Vision: We educate, connect, and support Albertans to reduce the impact and incidence of eating disorders and disordered eating.

>> The Opportunity
EDSNA is seeking new Board members who are passionate about advancing mental health support systems and committed to strong, accountable governance.
We are particularly interested in individuals with expertise in the following areas:

1- Clinical or Mental Health Expertise:
Professional experience in psychology, nursing, dietetics, social work, occupational therapy, or related clinical disciplines, with a focus on mental health. Experience in the design, delivery, or evaluation of community mental health programs, clinical service delivery, or health system navigation is highly valued.

2- Marketing and Communications: Experience creating public awareness or outreach campaigns, particularly in health, mental health, or non-profit settings. Skills in storytelling, branding, or strategic messaging related to sensitive topics are highly valued.

3- Fundraising and Donor Engagement: Experience developing individual giving campaigns, grant writing, donor stewardship, or supporting peer-to-peer and event-based fundraising efforts.

Additional attributes and skills:
-Experience in multiple areas would be considered an asset.
- Familiarity with technology-enabled service delivery (e.g., CRM systems, online outreach platforms) is considered a bonus.
- Prior experience serving on a Board of Directors is welcomed. We encourage applications from candidates who demonstrate a readiness to engage in governance responsibilities and a commitment to strategic, high-impact contribution.

- Attendance at regular Board meetings (currently monthly)
