Dyslexia Edmonton
We are volunteers who tutor children that are Dyslexic. Dyslexic children have trouble connecting sounds to symbols.
We use the Orton-Gillingham Approach to teach these special children.
We provide training and materials to tutor- trainees.( a commitment that requires dedication and time) Twice a week for one hour. Mid Sept. to Mid June.
We also are in need of reception/monitors.(Mon.-Thurs. 3:45 to 6:45pm - flexible in regards to days and commitment)
All volunteers must complete a Police record check.( we pay for it)
