Join the Board of Concerts in Care Alberta and impact lives through the power of music!

Ongoing
Concerts in Care Alberta (legal entity Health Arts Society of Alberta) is searching for engaged, knowledgeable, and visionary volunteers to join our Board of Directors. As we celebrate our 10 year anniversary, adding new governance leaders will move us closer to bringing joy, connections, and world-class live music to Albertans each year.

Who We Are
Concerts in Care is a registered charity focused on lifting the spirits of seniors through performances featuring local, professional artists. Presenting over 400 concerts annually across the province, these performances ensure those in care and retirement homes remain connected to the beauty of the arts. Over 100 Alberta artists benefit through compensated performances. Over the past three years, expansion reaches patients in palliative care, psychiatric care, and performances in public libraries. Concerts in Care maximizes every grant and donation as a highly efficient organization, with a small staff and budget maximized to share music to those who need it most. In 2026, our organization was recognized with an Alberta Senior Service Award from the Province of Alberta.

Hear From Our Board
"Often Albertans consider volunteer leadership as what they give to their community. Serving on the Concerts in Care board definitely gave me insights. With over 50 years of service as a nonprofit leader on several boards and as a senior staff leader, I can assuredly claim engaging with Concerts in Care’s board, staff, and musicians has been a stellar, rewarding experience. My appreciation for the sheer joy that our musicians bring to seniors living in congregant residences escalates my hope that Concerts in Care continues to expand its reach and impact throughout Alberta. Serving this mission will undoubtedly enrich your life. Please consider our invite."
