Caregivers Alberta empowers Albertans who provide care to family and friends at home or in the community. We provide education, support caregivers' wellbeing, and advocate for public policy. Although we are headquartered in Edmonton, we provide programs and services for all family and friend caregivers throughout the province. In order to build awareness of our nonprofit and our work, we use printed materials (professional referral folders, caregiver program brochures, etc) that can easily be distributed in health facilities, recreational centres, libraries, and other locations. We are looking for an administrative volunteer to help us put together these materials on Wednesdays, at our office in NE Edmonton in the Jerry Forbes Center (12122-68 Street). IN ORDER TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU MUST BE ABLE TO COME TO OUR OFFICE LISTED ABOVE ON A WEEKLY OR BIWEEKLY BASIS. YOU SHOULD HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION AND BE AVAILABLE DURING THE DAY ON WEDNESDAYS. This volunteer role is suitable for seniors and youth 16+.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Benefits of volunteering with Caregivers Alberta in the Administrative Assistance role: - gain valuable health-related volunteer hours for secondary or post-secondary education programs - be part of a team that cares about your time and contribution - help grow awareness of caregiving and the challenges that Alberta's one million+ family and friend caregivers face
