CFDE is seeking a reliable, organized, and people-oriented Volunteer Coordinator to manage and strengthen our volunteer program. The coordinator will be the main point of contact for volunteers and will help ensure they are recruited, properly onboarded, assigned to meaningful opportunities, supported throughout their involvement, and recognized for their contributions.
This is an important coordination role within CFDE. The coordinator will work with CFDE leadership and program teams to identify volunteer needs and ensure volunteers are placed where their skills can best support the organization.
Key Responsibilities
•	Recruit and communicate with prospective volunteers through Volunteer Connector and other appropriate channels.
•	Review volunteer applications, conduct interviews/screening where required, and match volunteers with suitable opportunities.
•	Coordinate volunteer onboarding, including orientation, role expectations, training requirements, and introduction to CFDE systems.
•	Maintain accurate volunteer records, assignments, and contact information.
•	Ensure volunteers understand how to record their hours using Jibble and follow up when hours or records are missing.
•	Maintain regular communication with volunteers and respond to questions, concerns, and requests for support.
•	Work with program leads to coordinate volunteer assignments and address changes or issues.
•	Monitor volunteer participation and help encourage continued engagement and retention.
•	Track volunteer contributions and assist with certificates, acknowledgements, and other recognition.
•	Recruit and coordinate volunteers for CFDE events, programs, special projects, and organizational initiatives as needed.
•	Provide CFDE leadership with updates on volunteer activity, participation, and needs.
