ONLINE TUTORING

The Canadian Foundation for Development and Empowerment (CFDE) is seeking a dependable and enthusiastic volunteer to join our developing Online Tutoring Program.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is interested in tutoring youth while also helping us build and organize the online tutoring program.

What You'll Do
* Provide online tutoring and academic support to participating students.
* Work with the Associate Director to help organize and set up the online tutoring program.
* Help develop a simple and practical process for matching students with tutors.
* Assist with tutor and student scheduling.
* Help identify appropriate online learning resources and tools.
* Assist with developing basic tutor guidelines and resources.
* Help determine what information tutors and families need before tutoring begins.
* Provide feedback and ideas as the program develops.
* Communicate regularly with the Associate Director regarding progress and any needs or concerns.

We're Looking for Someone Who

* Enjoys working with children and/or youth.
* Has tutoring, teaching, education or academic-support experience.
* Is comfortable working online using platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet.
* Is organized, dependable and able to communicate well.
* Is willing to help build something that is still in its early stages.
* Can work collaboratively while also taking initiative.
* Is interested in making education more accessible to young people.
