About Autism Today Foundation Autism Today Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering neurodiverse individuals and fostering inclusion, awareness, and access to essential resources. Through creative programming, education, and advocacy, we aim to build a society where every person can thrive and be celebrated for who they are. Role Overview We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Illustrator to join our volunteer team. In this role, you will create engaging visuals for a wide range of projects including publications, children's books, digital content, educational resources, and social media campaigns. Your illustrations will help bring important stories to life and make our messaging more accessible and emotionally impactful for diverse audiences. Key Responsibilities Develop original illustrations for use in children's books, educational materials, infographics, blog posts, and promotional content Collaborate with writers, editors, and project managers to visually interpret narratives and key messages Adapt artistic style to suit the tone and goals of each project Submit completed illustrations according to project timelines Revise artwork based on team feedback when needed What We’re Looking For Strong portfolio showcasing illustration skills and storytelling through art Proficiency in digital illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Procreate, or Photoshop Ability to communicate visually across different age groups, especially children High attention to detail and creative problem-solving Willingness to work collaboratively and take feedback constructively Sensitivity and respect when creating content that reflects neurodiverse experiences Nice to Have Experience illustrating for nonprofit, educational, or children's media projects Familiarity with accessible design and inclusive visual representation Basic animation or motion design skills
