About Us Autism Today is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. Through education, advocacy, programs, and community engagement, we aim to create accessible and inclusive solutions that empower autistic individuals across all stages of life. Position Overview The Junior Video Editor & YouTube Support Volunteer will assist in creating, editing, and publishing video content for Autism Today’s digital platforms, including YouTube, social media, website content, and marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in video editing, YouTube content management, and digital storytelling within a mission-driven organization. Volunteers will work closely with the Marketing and Social Media teams while contributing to meaningful educational and awareness-focused content. Key Responsibilities- Video Editing & Content Support: Assist in editing raw footage into engaging video content for YouTube, social media, and digital campaigns Add captions, transitions, music, branding elements, and basic motion graphics Support the creation of accessible and visually consistent content Help maintain Autism Today’s visual and branding standards across videos YouTube Channel Support Upload and organize videos on YouTube Assist with writing video titles, descriptions, tags, and metadata Help organize playlists and maintain channel consistency Support thumbnail creation using Canva or similar tools Assist with YouTube growth initiatives and audience engagement efforts Help review video performance and engagement metrics Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing and Social Media teams Support ongoing campaigns and digital initiatives Participate in brainstorming sessions for new content ideas and video series Qualifications Basic to intermediate experience with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, Canva, or similar tools Interest in YouTube content creation and digital media Understanding of basic video editing principles, pacing, audio, and storytelling Familiarity with motion graphics or simple animations is a plus Strong communication skills and willingness to learn Passion for nonprofit, educational, or community-focused work Preferred Qualities Creative mindset with attention to detail Ability to work collaboratively within a volunteer team Interest in social media trends and digital storytelling Enthusiasm for contributing to a meaningful cause
