The Alberta Senior Health Association (ASHA) is a student-led non-profit dedicated to improving the well-being of seniors. Through our Companionship Program, youth volunteers visit seniors in care facilities and individual households to chat, play games, share stories, and build meaningful relationships. [Locations] Garneau Hall, Chartwell @ Wescott, Laurel Heights, Lifestyle Options @ Whitemud, Edmonton People In Need Care Facility, and more on request. [Timeline & Schedule] • Shifts begin in September • Weekly or bi-weekly visits • Weekends or weekday evenings [Who We’re Looking For] Youth ages 12 through high school who are friendly, patient, and reliable. No experience required! Long-term commitment is strongly preferred. [Requirements] Parental Consent Form and Code of Conduct required. [Application] 1. Complete our Google Form. 2. Attend a casual 3–4 minute Google Meet with ASHA Co-Presidents Flora and Camelia. Don’t worry, it’s not an interview! We just want to say hi, explain the program, and get to know you. :DD
