Through guided meditation and calming presence, volunteers help create a peaceful environment for those navigating challenging times. Volunteer Role & Responsibilities: Lead gentle, guided mindfulness meditation sessions for individuals or small groups. Offer a compassionate, non-judgmental presence to patients and families. Adapt sessions to participants’ energy levels and needs. Maintain a serene and welcoming space. Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure a supportive experience. Requirements: Experience in mindfulness/meditation practice (personal or facilitation experience preferred). Compassion & emotional resilience – comfortable in palliative care settings. Reliability – commit to a weekly 3-hour shift (morning/afternoon options available). Clearances – must complete hospital volunteer onboarding (including background check).
