CapitalCare Strathcona ( Sherwood Park) Music Volunteer
Located at 12 Brower Drive in Sherwood Park With some guidance from our Recreation Therapist, Volunteers are welcomed to play a musical instrument for the residents enjoyment. Anywhere from small resident groups to individual one on one visits. We encourage when appropriate for singing along with the music to encourage resident participation. We may encourage residents to participate using small instruments. If you are a member of a group you may wish to volunteer for our many happy hours or special events. Qualifications • Enjoys socializing with residents in continuing care • Competent and confident with playing a musical instrument(s) • Accepts direction and follows guidelines • Good communication skills and positive attitude. • Ability to porter • Reliable, independent and trustworthy • Ongoing regular daytime / some evening and weekend volunteers.
