Volunteer Opportunity: Director at Large

Airdrie & District Soccer Association
Are you passionate about community sports and looking for a way to make a difference? The Airdrie & District Soccer Association (ADSA) is seeking dedicated volunteers to join our Board of Directors as Directors at Large. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of grassroots and competitive soccer in Airdrie and the surrounding communities.

About ADSA
ADSA is a non-profit organization committed to promoting and developing soccer for all ages and skill levels. Through quality programming, strong partnerships, and a focus on player development, we strive to create an inclusive and supportive soccer community.

Role & Responsibilities
As a Director at Large, you will:
● Provide input on strategic decisions that support the mission and growth of ADSA.
● Attend board meetings and participate in committee work as needed.
● Support the association’s programs, policies, and overall governance.
● Assist with initiatives such as events and community engagement.
● Act as an ambassador for ADSA, fostering relationships with stakeholders, partners and the local soccer community.

Qualifications & Skills
We are looking for individuals who:
● Have a passion for soccer, community sports or child/youth development.
● Background in human resources, legal or community engagement.
● Can commit to attending monthly meetings and volunteering at ADSA events.
● Previous board or non-profit experience is an asset but not required.

Time Commitment
This is a volunteer position with an expected commitment of 2-5 hours per month, including board meetings, occasional committee work and ADSA events. Directors serve a two-year term, with the opportunity for reelection.
