Data Analyst

Volunteer position. Time commitment: 3-5 hours per week.

The Data Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams to turn complex data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with large datasets, has strong analytical skills, and is experienced in data visualization, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities
- Analyze datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities.

- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using tools such as Google Analytics.

- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights that support strategic initiatives.

- Perform data cleaning, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.

- Present findings in a clear and concise manner to technical and non-technical audiences.

- Support data-driven decision-making across program teams.

- Contribute to the development and documentation of best practices and data governance standards.

- Reports to the Technology Director.


Job Requirements - Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field recommended

- 3–5 years of experience in a data analyst or similar role

- Proficient in SQL

- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Looker, etc).

- Strong proficiency in Google Sheets

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking and attention to detail

- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical audiences

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Ability to work effectively in a remote, diverse, international team environment

- Team communication using Slack

- Availability to volunteer 3-5 hours per week
