Donation Receiving

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a social enterprise that sells new and used building materials, furniture, appliances, tools, electronics and much more. The ReStore donation receiving department is where people come to drop off their donated items. 

The time commitment is 4 hours a week for a minimum commitment of 3 months. 

OVERVIEW:The receiving department is the first stop for all donated items. This can be anything from construction materials, to furniture to books & housewares. You never know what you will find donated at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore!

A volunteer would assist the ReStore staff in determining if the donated item is something the ReStore could sell, and then they would inspect it for damage, check the cleanliness, and then put it on the sales floor. 

DUTIES: 
- Lifting and bending
- Cleaning
- Helping load and load donations

QUALIFICATIONS: 
- CSA approved steel toed shoes


*Please note* this role is only available to those who are currently residing on Vancouver Island. So only applicants who are located in the Comox Valley will be contacted.

Steel toe shoes are required for this role.
