Youth Volunteer Opportunity: Bridging Generations

Are you a youth looking to gain volunteer hours, experience, leadership development, and a meaningful way to give back to your community? Join Bridging Generations, a free intergenerational program by Low Entropy Foundation that brings youth and seniors together through conversation, shared learning, storytelling, and community connection.

Through this program, youth volunteers will build relationships with older adults, learn from their experiences, share their own perspectives, and help create a stronger, more connected community.

Program Schedule
Dates: Every Tuesday, from June 30th to Aug 18th 2026
Time: 11:30am - 1:30pm
Location: Coquitlam City Centre Aquatic Complex (1210 Pinetree Way)

Volunteer Responsibilities
Participate in program orientation
Attend scheduled program sessions
Engage in conversations, storytelling, and shared activities with senior participants
Participate in group activities and community-building experiences
Communicate with program staff as needed

Who Can Apply?
Youth aged 16–24
Friendly, respectful, and interested in connecting with older adults
Able to commit to the program schedule
Interested in developing leadership and communication skills
No previous volunteer experience required

About Bridging Generations
Bridging Generations is designed to create meaningful connections between youth and seniors through shared experiences and relationship-building. Participants learn from one another, exchange perspectives, develop new skills, and help reduce social isolation while strengthening community connections.
