23 Volunteers Needed As Snow Helpers In Cochrane ASAP!
A snowy day can present stress to someone who is not able to get outside and clean their sidewalks and driveway. Having someone step up and clear the snow is a small thing that makes a big difference. Remove snow from entryways, sidewalks, and driveways for the elderly, ill or disabled of our community. These are individuals who have reached out to us for help. We are looking for 23 volunteers to be Snow Helpers right away. You will be matched with one property and share it's coverage with another volunteer for the winter season. This means you will be shoveling every other month this winter. During your month, when it snows, please go and shovel within 48 hours (Town of Cochrane policy). With the two volunteers alternating months, they are able to cover for each other if either is on holiday or ill. Lets help our neighbours this winter. By becoming Snow Helpers with Helping Hands Society of Cochrane! You can get started right away by signing up at www.helpinghandscochrane.ca
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteer t-shirt, button and toque. Feeling good about helping vulnerable citizens who cannot shovel snow but need it to be done. Flexible schedule - volunteer for shoveling every other month! Fresh air and exercise :)
