Stage Manager needed for the Canmore Summer Theatre Festival
Pine Tree Players are seeking a stage manager for the 2026 Canmore Summer Theatre Festival. Visit https://pinetreeplayers.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Stage-Manager-V1.pdf for a detailed role description. If you have any further questions please e-mail info@pinetreeplayers.com. The Canmore Summer Theatre Festival (CSTF) is an annual outdoor theatre festival. A unique aspect of the CSTF is that volunteers from Pine Tree Players perform alongside and learn from theatre professionals and emerging artists. This year, the CSTF team is excited to present Anne of Green Gables by Ashley Griffin, based on the novel by Lucy Maud Montgomery, directed by Chelsea Howell-Fellows and Little Women by Marian De Forest, adapted from the story by Louisa M Alcott, directed by Shelby Reinitz. Performances will take place outdoors at the Stan Rogers Stage in Centennial Park, Canmore. The dates of the festival are as follows: Rehearsals – start April 12, Sundays 10AM-6PM; Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-9:30PM, adding in Saturdays 10AM-6PM starting on June 6. Tech/Dress Rehearsals – July 3-6 Festival Run – The Festival Run is July 8-19, with performances of Anne of Green Gables at 1pm and Little Women at 7pm. There will be no performances on July 13 and 14.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
You’ll meet new people, participate in the creative process, and work closely with directors, designers, and actors from rehearsals through to performances. It’s a great way to learn new skills, grow your confidence, expand your network, and be a key leader behind the scenes of an outdoor community theatre festival.
