Teenflight

TeenFlight provides students with hands-on education and experience in the aviation industry. Students will learn about the dynamics of flight, how to read plans and technical drawings, work hands-on with aircraft construction and more! The group works together on a common project and goal giving them a head start to explore careers in aviation or other related technology fields.

TeenFlight is an international program that started in Oregon in 2009. Campbell River launched the program in April 2014 and is the first and only one at this time to be hosting TeenFlight in Canada!

Local aviation enthusiasts and business people from our community actively contribute their time, expertise, tools, hangar space and their passion for aviation to this program. These volunteers are essential to the success of TeenFlight.

The community benefits from this program in many ways such as increasing the awareness of aviation related careers in Campbell River, directing potential new students to educational opportunities here such as at North Island College and contributing to building skilled aviation workers in our community.

The mission of TeenFlight is to build enthusiasm for aviation, learn some skills and above all have fun!
