Variety Alberta

Variety – the Children’s Charity of Alberta (Variety Alberta) partners with the Municipalities, Community Associations, Parent Groups and Schools to build inclusive playgrounds in every community. With no legislation at the federal or provincial level, playgrounds are the last remaining public space that can be built without considering the needs of persons living with disabilities. Through these partnerships, Variety is changing this, so that every community has an inclusive playground, which makes it possible for children and families, grandparents and caregivers of all abilities to be active, be social and belong. Creating fully inclusive playgrounds requires a community to come together and be part of the solution.
