Team Spirit Engagement Lead

The Team Spirit Engagement Lead is the friendly, enthusiastic point person for the Team Spirit Award at Street Meet.
By starting in immediately, this role helps teams understand the award early so they have time to form teams, plan costumes, and build excitement leading up to the event. The focus is on encouragement, clarity, and friendly competition.

Key Responsibilities (Before the Event)
From now through June, you will:

Explain:

how to create a Street Meet team
what the Team Spirit Award is and how to win it
the criteria used for judging (including costumes, creativity, and team spirit)

Help teams understand peer‑to‑peer (P2P) fundraising in a simple, encouraging way
Create light‑hearted social media posts that:

build excitement and friendly competition
highlight team progress and creativity
encourage teams to get involved early

Event Day Responsibilities

Connect with teams throughout the event and help keep energy high
Notice standout team costumes and point them out to the Team Spirit Award judges
Help ensure teams are nearby and ready when awards are announced
Support the celebration and recognition of award winners

You are not responsible for judging decisions.

This Role Is a Good Fit If You:

Are comfortable talking to people and making connections
Enjoy creative, fun, event‑based roles

No marketing or fundraising background required.

This Role Does Not Include

Managing money or fundraising totals
Making judging decisions
Handling registrations or event logistics
Independently managing social media accounts

Those tasks are handled by staff and other volunteers.
