Join our Tax Clinic team and help create a smooth, welcoming experience for seniors accessing tax preparation services. As a Tax Reception Volunteer, you’ll be the first point of contact, ensuring clients are checked in efficiently, assigned to the appropriate volunteer, and supported throughout their visit. Schedule & Time Commitment: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday 8:30 am – 3:30 pm February 23, 2026 – April 30, 2026 Key Responsibilities: - Check in clients and assign them to the first available tax preparer - Record client flow as they enter and exit appointments - Receive donations and issue donation receipts - Protect client confidentiality and ensure the security of all private information - Provide FCSS Survey Forms to clients and forward completed forms to tax preparers - Enter the name of the tax preparer each client is assigned to - Monitor the waiting area and support safe, smooth movement for clients using walkers, scooters, and other mobility aids Skills & Qualities Needed: Excellent customer service skills Comfort using a POS machine; credit or collection experience is an asset Ability to stay calm, organized, and professional in a busy environment Strong multitasking abilities Ability to build positive working relationships with both clients and tax preparers
