The Kidney Foundation, Southern AB Branch

Kidney March, hosted by The Kidney Foundation of Canada, is a three-day, 100 KM walk from Kananaskis to Calgary. Marchers individually raise a minimum of $2,200, which fuels patient programs, life-saving research and organ donation initiatives in Southern AB. This three-day event brings the kidney community together to take a united front against kidney disease, which affects 1 in 10 Canadians.

Kidney March has raised over $7 million for research, education and organ donation awareness. 2019, its 10th year, has brought a record number of registrations with over 600 Marchers and Crew expecting to participate and a goal to raise over $1 million.

77% of Canadians on the wait-list for an organ transplant are waiting for a kidney. There is no cure for kidney disease. Kidney March is about doing the most we can possibly do in the fight against a disease that devastates thousands of Canadians each year.
