Stroke Recovery Association of Calgary (SRAC)

The Calgary Aphasia Centre provides conversation groups and peer support for individuals living with aphasia -- a common communication problem resulting from stroke and brain injury.
Aphasia affects speaking, writing, reading, and understanding spoken language. Aphasia is a loss of language, NOT intellect.
We are a community of individuals with aphasia, family members, and volunteers.
Our mission is to improve communication skills, support independence, encourage community participation, and enhance quality of life for adults living with aphasia.
We accept self/family referrals for our conversation groups. Our groups are held weekly at wheelchair accessible locations around Calgary. Please visit our website for further information: www.calgaryaphasia.com
