Street Level Outreach Volunteer

Twice weekly we have up to 6 volunteers pull wagons starting from either our office in Mission (Holy Cross Center) or in the Forest Lawn area and we look for folks who need support with basic needs, those who are unhoused and vulnerable. Our offerings are for females, but we offer food to anyone who is unhoused or in need of a brown bag lunch. For females we have period supplies, underwear, bras, shoes, coats etc. We try to get folks to access the housing list in Calgary and we connect them with other resources that may be useful for them. To do this role you must be willing to go out in all weather conditions (people need us regardless of the weather), and you will need to be able to pull a wagon and walk about 4 km. We work as a team, and the volunteers have a really nice time together.
