About STEM For The Future
STEM For The Future is a youth-led nonprofit dedicated to making STEM education accessible for every child. We run free robotics and coding classes, donate STEM kits, partner with schools and shelters, and bring inclusive STEM programming directly into communities.

Growing in Calgary and Edmonton, we are looking for reliable and organized leaders to help run local events.

Role Overview

The Event Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering STEM For The Future events in either Calgary or Edmonton. (You only need to organize for EITHER Calgary or Edmonton) You will lead on-the-ground logistics, communicate with partner sites, and ensure that every event runs smoothly and represents our mission.

This role is essential for expanding our reach and bringing high-quality, accessible STEM programming to kids in your city.

Responsibilities
-Plan and coordinate local STEM events (workshops, school visits, community programs, pop-ups, etc.)
-Communicate with schools, shelters, community organizations, and partner sites to schedule events
-Prepare event materials (STEM kits, handouts, lesson plans, sign-in sheets, etc.)
Recruit, schedule, and support volunteers for each event
-Set up, run, and close events on-site
-Ensure safety, professionalism, and youth-friendly delivery
-Track attendance, impact data, and event outcomes
-Identify new outreach opportunities within the city
