Stars for Scholarly Youth

Stars for Scholarly Youth (SSY) is a non-profit organization with the mission of providing tutoring/mentorship, by students from the University of Calgary, to disadvantaged youth in foster homes and shelters in Calgary. Our aim is to provide learning opportunities to underprivileged students to help them with school work and expose them to various areas of studies to allow them to explore their interests. We offer one-on-one tutoring in various subjects, conversation clubs for youth to interact with each other and establish a sense of belonging, and the Kids Can Code program that exposes youth to coding and computer science!
