Resident Storyteller Lead: Youth affected by the stress & stigma of a parent's substance use

We are seeking a talented and engaging storyteller with a passion for youth mental health and a deep understanding of the stigma surrounding a parent's substance use. Whether through personal experience, close relationships, or professional work, the ideal candidate understands the emotional landscape of growing up with this unique challenge and is eager to use their voice to build connection and community.

In this role, you will lead the launch and ongoing development of our peer-led newsletter, designed to inform, inspire, and support our growing community. You will write and publish one blog post per month and manage newsletter content shared via our website, social media, and email platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the creative direction and launch of our monthly peer newsletter
Write one authentic, engaging blog post per month
Collaborate with our team to align content with upcoming programming, awareness days, and community needs
Upload and manage blog content and newsletters on our Wix-based website
Contribute to social media planning by adapting blog content into shareable posts
Track audience engagement and use feedback to improve content over time

The Ideal Candidate Has:

-Lived, relational, or professional experience with the stress and stigma of a parent's substance use
-A passion for writing and storytelling that builds connection and reduces shame
-Experience with or willingness to learn Wix for blog and newsletter integration
-Basic understanding of email marketing platforms (e.g., Wix, email, or similar)
-Strong sense of empathy, voice, and ability to write in a tone that resonates with youth and peers
-An understanding of digital engagement strategies and current trends in mental health communication
