Maintenance Volunteer

Radiance’s safe housing at The Radiance Centre serves as a vital refuge for women who bravely leave abusive relationships, offering not just a secure home, but also the essential emotional and practical assistance needed during the complex journey of breaking free. Recognizing the daunting challenges faced by these courageous women, our residential facility provides a nurturing environment for women with or without children, where they can access comprehensive resources to navigate their path to healing. Our secure 24-unit complex, situated in a serene neighborhood with easy access to essential services, ensures safety with 24-hour security.

We are in search of a dedicated maintenance volunteer to join our team and contribute to the upkeep of our haven. This role involves coming in once a month, specifically on the second Saturday from 9am to 12pm, to assist with tasks such as moving furniture, hanging photos, patching holes, and painting, among other maintenance activities. All supplies will be provided by us. Your efforts will not only enhance the physical environment of The Radiance Centre but also contribute to the sense of home and security felt by the women and children we serve. If you have a knack for handy work and a heart for making a tangible difference, we would love to have you as part of our community.

Volunteers will need to complete a Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector.
