About Slayground: We are a grassroots, inclusive sports organization for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies! We're on a mission to bring joyful, low-pressure, inclusive soccer sessions to life, and we are actively looking to build a crew that centers gender-diverse and queer community members. We're hosting weekly, drop-in, outdoor soccer sessions in July through August of 2026. The Roles We Need: + Light Soccer Reffing: Basic experience is totally fine! Just help keep the game flowing smoothly and prevent unsafe play. + Lines People: Help track out-of-bounds calls and support game play directly from the sidelines. + Soccer Coaching: Help guide drills, support beginner players, and encourage a fun, welcoming environment. + Player Coordination: Help with attendance, communication, and keeping our players informed and organized. + Set-up & Tear-down Support: Help with equipment, nets, cones, and getting the space ready before and after games. Who This Is For: If you love soccer, want to give back, or simply want to hang out on the pitch in a safe, affirming, and celebratory space, we want you!

Community Building and Networking: Gain a sense of belonging by helping grow a joyful, affirming sports space for queer and gender-diverse folks from the ground up. Leadership & Coaching Skills: Practice guiding sports drills, managing team communications, and mentoring players in a low-pressure environment. Event & Logistics Experience: Build hands-on skills in basic sports officiating, event coordination, and managing field operations.
