S.I.Y.S - Struggle is Your Success

Struggle Is Your Success (SIYS) is a Calgary-based non-profit organization dedicated to empowering youth through entrepreneurship, personal development, and career readiness. Founded by Musap Abdel, SIYS aims to inspire and equip young people, particularly from underserved and marginalized communities, with the tools and skills to overcome adversity and achieve success. Our flagship program, 'Dream it, Plan it, Build it', is designed to foster innovation and entrepreneurial spirit among youth aged 14 to 25, helping them turn ideas into action through structured mentorship and practical learning.

With a focus on BIPOC and NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) youth, SIYS provides accessible education, workshops, and hands-on projects that cultivate confidence, leadership, and business acumen. Through collaboration with community leaders, industry professionals, and local businesses, we are committed to building a sustainable future by fostering young entrepreneurs who can contribute to the economic and social well-being of their communities.

Our vision is to expand our impact by digitizing our programs and reaching 500+ youth annually across Alberta, providing them with resources to develop entrepreneurial skills and personal growth. SIYS believes that struggle is not a barrier but a pathway to success, and through our work, we aim to uplift the next generation of changemakers.
