Volunteer Treasurer - Governance Board

Sagesse empowers people of all backgrounds to disrupt structures that lead to domestic abuse. We are looking for a Volunteer Treasurer to join our Governance Board and help guide the financial stewardship of our organization. This role is a great opportunity for someone with financial expertise who wants to make a meaningful impact in the nonprofit sector.

Key Responsibilities:
> Financial Oversight: Provide expertise and guidance on financial matters to ensure the organization's fiscal health and compliance with regulatory requirements. 
> Budget Management: Collaborate with board members and staff to develop and monitor annual budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and mission. 
> Financial Reporting: Review financial reports with the board, attend Financial Committee meetings.  
> Audit and Compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards and legal requirements. 
> Investment Oversight: Participate in discussions and decisions related to the organization's financial investments, helping to maximize returns while managing risk. 
> Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of financial strategies that support the organization's long-term sustainability and growth.

Time Commitment: ~5 hours per month, including board meetings, committee work, and occasional special projects
