Peer Support Volunteer

Sagesse is looking for passionate, driven volunteers living across Alberta that are interested in providing peer support to individuals impacted by domestic abuse.

As a Peer Support Volunteer, you can:
> Connect one-on-one with someone who is impacted by domestic abuse through peer support.
> Co-facilitate a peer support program, which may include:
        - A six-week peer-based group focused on issues related to self-esteem.
        - A 14-week peer-based group that delves into experiences of domestic abuse.
        - A 20-week peer-based group focusing on the intersections of domestic abuse and sex work.

Peer Support Volunteer opportunities include in person and virtual/remote options based on location in the province
Additional Details & Skills Required
All peer support volunteers will be provided a minimum of 17 hours of training and regular and ongoing supervision and support
