BElieve in YOU Peer Support Volunteer
Ongoing
Sagesse is looking for passionate, driven volunteers living across Alberta that are interested in providing peer support to individuals impacted by domestic abuse. The BElieve in YOU Program at Sagesse provides peer support for individuals who are or have been engaged at the intersections of domestic abuse and sex work. BElieve in YOU engages with people who have diverse experiences, thus we hold the continuum of sexual exchange from choice, circumstance, to coercion at the core of the program. As a Peer Support Volunteer, you will have the opportunity to co-facilitate: > A six-week peer-based group focused on issues related to self-esteem (Finding our Voices). > A 14-week peer-based group that delves into intersections of domestic abuse and sex work (Growth Circle).
Additional Details & Skills Required
All BElieve in YOU peer support volunteers will be provided a minimum of 24 hours of training and ongoing supervision and support
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
