In-Person Group Facilitator (Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support)
Support people through one of the hardest experiences of their lives. We’re looking for compassionate volunteers to help facilitate in-person support groups for individuals who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss. What You'll Do? - Co-facilitate small, in-person support groups - Help create an affirming, warm, and supportive space - Gently guide conversation and connection (no "fixing") - Be a steady and supportive presence Who This is For? This role is for people who: - Have lived experience with pregnancy loss, infant loss, fertility challenges, and / or diverse family-building experiences - Feel ready to support others in a peer setting - Are warm, grounded, and able to hold space for difficult emotions and diverse experiences You do not need to be a professional or have formal counselling experience. Additional Details & Skills Required
After a short interview, approved volunteers are guided through general onboarding including a confidentiality agreement and criminal record check and self-paced online welcome training. Once that is complete, you'll be completing Role-Specific Training to prepare you for your role. This last step includes additional self-paced online training to provide you with a foundation followed by approximately 7-8 hours of live training.
