Are you passionate about animal welfare and looking for a meaningful way to make a difference? pause4change is seeking a dedicated and innovative volunteer to take the lead as a Fundraising and Events Coordinator. This rewarding role is perfect for someone who thrives on organizing impactful events, engaging with the community, and finding creative ways to raise essential funds to support our mission.
Key Responsibilities
As the Fundraising and Events Coordinator, you will:
•	Take a leadership role in planning, organizing, and executing in-person events, such as:
o	Summer Markets
o	Calgary Boat & Outdoor Show
o	Spruce Meadows Pet Fest
o	Paint Your Pet
o	Pints4Pups & Purrs
•	Coordinate and manage fundraising initiatives, including but not limited to:
o	50/50 raffles
o	Seasonal campaigns like Purdys Chocolates and spring plants
o	Exploring and implementing new and innovative fundraising ideas
•	Organize, and manage volunteers to attend events and oversee the event booth.
•	Oversee the events team and collaborate to ensure smooth operations and successful execution of events.
•	Act as a representative of the organization at events, engaging with the public and building relationships with community members.
Desired Skills and Qualities
•	Strong organizational and time management skills.
•	Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
•	Creativity and resourcefulness in developing new fundraising initiatives.
•	Passion for animal welfare and commitment to our mission.
•	Experience in event planning and/or fundraising is an asset but not required.
Role Structure
We understand this role involves a significant time commitment. To ensure a manageable workload, we are open to splitting the responsibilities into two positions:
1.	Events Coordinator: Leading the planning and execution of in-person events.
2.	Fundraising Coordinator: Focusing on organizing fundraising campaigns and exploring innovative fundraising opportunities.
Both coordinators will work closely with each other and the events team to ensure a collaborative and supportive environment.
