Gala Event Volunteers – Photographer & Event Support (Registration & Silent Auction)
Event Overview The Open Arms Inaugural Gala: An Evening for Patient Voices will take place on May 2nd, 2026 (6:00–10:00 PM) at the Best Western Calgary Plaza Hotel. This event aims to raise awareness of the Open Arms Patient Advocacy Society and generate funds to support our programs and services. The evening will bring together past members, clients, healthcare professionals, policymakers, and community leaders to celebrate and amplify patient voices. Volunteer Photographer (2-3 positions) We are seeking a volunteer photographer to capture key moments throughout the evening. Responsibilities: Take high-quality photos of the event, including speakers, guests, and key moments Capture candid and posed shots that reflect the atmosphere of the gala Provide edited photos following the event (if possible) Event Support Volunteers (2–3 positions) We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to assist with guest experience and event coordination. Responsibilities: Support registration and guest check-in Assist with monitoring and managing the silent auction area Help ensure a smooth flow of the event and provide general support as needed
