Conservation Volunteers: Seize the Weeds at Clifford E. Lee!

Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary, Sanctuary Rd, Spruce Grove, AB, T7Y 1E7 [map]
5-5 hours
The Clifford E. Lee Nature Sanctuary features 141 hectares of marshland, open meadow, aspen parkland and pine forest. The varied habitats here attract a diversity of animals, including more than 100 bird species. We will be targeting and removing invasive weeds, which will be dug up, bagged and taken off the property. Pulling invasive plants encourages biodiversity and provides us with an opportunity to make a positive change, all while honing our identification skills and educating ourselves about the land.

9 am to 2 pm, Wednesday July 9, 2025
Please see the natureconservancy.ca link for details and to register.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Enjoy the fresh air of Clifford E. Lee and its beautiful scenery while helping to make room for native plants to grow.
