Event Planning Coordinator

We are a Registered Charity with the CRA, our focus is bringing awareness around domestic abuse and violence. Our journey and advocacy started when we lost Nadia El-Dib, who was violently murdered in Calgary on March 25th, 2018, in a case of domestic violence. Our Mission: To create a safe and supportive community that promotes healing and growth for survivors of domestic abuse. Through education, advocacy, and outreach, we aim to increase awareness about the impact of domestic abuse on individuals, families, and communities, and work towards preventing and ending all forms of domestic abuse. Bring our community together by assisting in the seamless planning, promotion, and execution of foundation events. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in organizing workshops, fundraisers, community gatherings, and events. - Coordinate event logistics, timelines, and day-of volunteer assignments. - Work closely with the communications team to promote events across platforms. What we’re looking for: - Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a natural multitasker. - Prior experience in event planning, hospitality, or project management is a plus. - Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively under timelines. - Commitment of 5-10 hours per month Experience is an asset but not required
