Our journey and advocacy started when we lost Nadia El-Dib, who was violently murdered in Calgary on March 25th, 2018, in a case of domestic violence. Our Mission: To create a safe and supportive community that promotes healing and growth for survivors of domestic abuse. Through education, advocacy, and outreach, we aim to increase awareness about the impact of domestic abuse on individuals, families, and communities, and work towards preventing and ending all forms of domestic abuse. Help secure the future of our vital programs by identifying, planning, and executing diverse fundraising initiatives. Key Responsibilities: • Research and identify new funding opportunities, grants, and sponsors. • Assist with donor engagement, stewardship, and appreciation campaigns. • Coordinate fundraising events and digital giving campaigns to build sustainable resources. What we’re looking for: • Persuasive communication skills and a strategic mindset. • Experience or strong interest in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing. • Goal-oriented and passionate about supporting a small charity's growth. • Commitment of 5-10 hours per month. • Experience is an asset but not required.
