Advocacy and Education Lead

We are a Registered Charity with the CRA, our focus is bringing awareness around domestic abuse and violence. Our journey and advocacy started when we lost Nadia El-Dib, who was violently murdered in Calgary on March 25th, 2018, in a case of domestic violence. Our Mission: To create a safe and supportive community that promotes healing and growth for survivors of domestic abuse. Through education, advocacy, and outreach, we aim to increase awareness about the impact of domestic abuse on individuals, families, and communities, and work towards preventing and ending all forms of domestic abuse. Drive social change by developing educational resources and awareness campaigns centered around gender-based violence prevention. Key Responsibilities: • Lead advocacy initiatives and develop public awareness campaigns. • Coordinate educational workshops and create impactful community resources. • Promote issues related to gender-based violence prevention, safety, and empowerment. What we’re looking for: • Deep empathy and a strong understanding of gender-based violence prevention and safety. • Experience in education, advocacy, public policy, or workshop facilitation. • Excellent presentation and resource-development skills. • Commitment of 5-10 hours per month. • Experience is an asset but not required.
