Volunteer Physiotherapists – Downtown Wellness Centre

The Mustard Seed Wellness Centre is looking for a licensed Volunteer Physiotherapist to join our team! The Wellness Centre provides wellness services for individuals experiencing homelessness or living in poverty. Our team and volunteers work to identify health needs and remove barriers so our clients can achieve and maintain their well-being.

The Volunteer Physiotherapist will work closely with the Wellness Centre Manager and staff Physiotherapist. You will be acting in a clinical capacity meeting clients one-on-one, communicating with the Wellness staff and providing compassionate care. 

Responsibilities
- Assessing and treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions or other conditions affecting independent mobility and health.
- Maintaining & updating client notes on EMR software. 
- Collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team as needed to optimize care. 
- Supporting program development as needed. 

Available Shifts 
*Volunteers must commit to ONE shift per week. 
8:45am – 12:00pm Mondays, Thursdays, OR Fridays 
6:15pm – 9:00pm Tuesdays
12:45pm – 4:00pm Mondays, Thursdays, OR Fridays

Requirements
- Must be a licensed Physiotherapist
- Must be approved by TMS staff
- Must complete and adhere to Volunteer Agreement
- Must complete a police check with a vulnerable sector check
- Must complete protection of privacy training (formerly FOIP)

Additional Details & Skills Required
Volunteers will have the opportunity to shadow the staff Physiotherapist as well as conduct appointments on their own. Parking is also available.
Certification or Education Required
Registered & Licensed with CPTA
