Volunteer Physiotherapists - Downtown Wellness Centre

The Mustard Seed Wellness Centre is looking for a licensed Volunteer Physiotherapist. 

The Wellness Centre provides hope and wellbeing to adults experiencing homelessness or poverty by providing an easily accessible, client-centered program with the goal of improving health. The Wellness Centre assists clients in identifying health needs, removing barriers, and supporting clients in achieving and maintaining health.

The Volunteer Physiotherapist will be acting in a clinical capacity. The right individual will be working closely with the Wellness Centre Manager and in constant communication with The Mustard Seed Physiotherapist. 

The duties will include:
- Assessing and treating patients with a variety of musculoskeletal conditions or other conditions affecting independent mobility and health.
- Updating client records after every appointment. 
- Collaborating with other members of the multidisciplinary team as needed to optimize care. 
- Supporting in program development. 

Available Shifts:
Mondays, Thursdays OR Fridays 8:45am-12:00pm
Mondays, Thursdays OR Fridays 12:45pm – 4:00pm
Tuesdays 6:30pm-9:00pm

Time Commitment: The right candidate should be able to commit to 1 weekly shift for a minimum of 6 months. 

Requirements:
- Must be a licensed physiotherapist. 
- Must be approved by TMS Staff
- Must complete and abide by the TMS Volunteer Agreement
- Must complete a Police Check with a vulnerable sector search. 
- Must complete protection of privacy training – formerly FOIP.
