Marlborough Park CIC Helper
The Marlborough Park Community Impact Centre seeks to create a greater sense of community and well-being amongst our neighbours. The Marlborough Park CIC emphasizes the importance of prevention in the fight to reduce poverty and eliminate homelessness. The Marlborough Park CIC Helper will support the day-to-day programming. The ideal candidate is friendly and aims to create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere. Responsibilities: - Welcome and greet all visitors and families. - Provide information on TMS/Calgary resources to clients. - Make coffee and offer coffee/water to clients using the space. - Seek out purposeful conversations with clients and visitors. - Maintain main area clean and tidy - Support programming staff and volunteers (help with bingo, run haircuts list, etc.) Available Shifts: Mondays 9:00am - 12:00pm Wednesdays 9:00am - 12:00pm Time Commitment: volunteers must commit to 1 set shift per week for a minimum of 4 months. Volunteer Requirements: - Must be 18 years of age or older - Must be approved by Mustard Seed staff - Must complete a volunteer agreement - Must complete a police information check with a vulnerable sector check - Must complete POPA training
